HORMONES, CANCER, AND GUM DISEASE

Many people who get cancer have an over-active anterior pituitary gland. It’s not a gross abnormality and you won’t get your `picture in an endocrinology textbook if you have this condition. It also produces gum disease, some forms of diabetes, some forms of arthritis and other problems. Is the relationship of this gland to cancer a causative factor or mere coincidence? I believe that it is a causative factor because this gland produces growth hormones and cancer is really an abnormal growth of cells. If you have this glandular pattern, it seems to get worse as you get older. This pattern is even evident in some small children. On the positive side this gland can give you lots of drive, but it’s also a killer. The only way to truly determine if you are of this glandular type is through body measurements.

It’s easier to add to an under-active gland than to take away from an overactive one. The anterior pituitary gland is opposed by the sex hormones (estrogen and testosterone) and also by minute amounts of insulin. This can keep the gland in check, but these substances must be taken all of the time (with the exception of the insulin). The decision as to whether to use estrogen or testosterone depends on how much of each you currently have in your system. Cow’s milk also has anterior pituitary hormones in it. This is one reason why I don’t recommend cows milk as a drink. The modern dairy cow is really an endocrine freak. The hormone that stimulates milk production comes from the anterior pituitary gland. Only cattle with overactive anterior pituitary glands are used because they are good milk producers. These hormones get into the milk and give you extra anterior pituitary hormones. As a milk substitute you can use soy milk or take heavy cream and dilute it 2-3:1 with water and you won’t get the hormones that are in milk. If you’re worried about fat, you should read the book, "The Neanderthin Diet". This book has some good ideas, but it falls short because it doesn’t recommend glandular correction to go along with the diet.

Gum disease is just an indication that you may be an over-active anterior pituitary type. Other glandular patterns can also lead to gum disease.
