What If?
By Raymond C. Forbes, D.M.D. I met Dr. Page in the early 70s, a lean man with piercing blue eyes that measured you as you spoke. The son of a physician who died when Dr. Page was young. Born in Pennsylvania his family moved to Michigan after his fathers death, where Dr. Page went to dental school and became a noted prosthodontist . Later in life he moved to Florida for health reasons. His brothers became successful inventors in the traditional sense, but Dr. Page had an invention of his own. Perhaps the early death of his father, his own health problems (crippling arthritis), and his own inventive mind led Dr Page to make an important discovery, one that remains today as one of the worlds best kept secrets. His discovery was simple, namely that slight endocrine imbalances cause serious problems. Degenerative diseases such as arthritis and osteoporosis, periodontal disease, heart problems, lipid problems, blood pressure problems, cataracts, kidney stones, stroke, depression, manic depression, some cancers, diabetes. Is this a gross overstatement? To us mortals on earth, it might seem so but having reproduced Dr. Pages work and having seen the results I know now that he was on the moon! His diagnostic approach was ingenious. He made circumferential measurements on four equidistant points on your arms and legs and computed your inherited glandular pattern. This was part of his invention. Its a quick, easy and amazingly accurate diagnostic tool. His eyes also became his measuring tape. He sized you up as you spoke and probably at first glance knew more about your health and personality than you did yourself. His correction was precise and measured. From the measurements he knew what endocrine glands were out of balance and what hormones to use to make corrections. From blood tests on a controlled diet he used calcium /phosphorus ratios to determine the correct dose of each supplement. From measuring and treating thousands of patients he was able to correlate the various glandular patterns with specific diseases. When excesses and deficiencies of an inherited glandular pattern were corrected many diseases were cured without drugs. What if much of our research to cure disease has been woefully misdirected and controlled by drug companies, seeking magic bullets with drugs that may have potentially harmful side effects? What if its more profitable to develop drugs, rather than natural substances that our bodies normally produce like minute amounts of hormones.? What if university research is controlled by commercial interests? What if Dr Page was right, that for most degenerative diseases, you need only tune the glandular symphony? What if the solution to curing many diseases is incredibly simple instead of incredibly complex? Being a practicing dentist for over thirty years, I see many of my patients every six months. I like Dr. Page have learned to use my eyes like a measuring tape. I usually know their glandular patterns from observing. I see the drugs that they take. I watch them degenerate before my eyes and some tragically part this world too early from killer diseases. I can make the correlation of disease with glandular pattern almost every time. Im constantly reminded of the phrase, "You see what you know." Dr. Page helped me to see. Dr. Page treated many patients from all over the U.S.. He remained active and healthy until his death at 93 in 1983. He wrote several books, Degeneration/Regeneration is available from www.ifnh.org and Your Body Is Your Best Doctor is available from www.amazon.com. I have been privileged to use some of Dr Pages techniques for dental purposes . Some of his previously unpublished articles are available on my website www.pittsburgh-dentist.com Raymond C.
